automating each phase of the federally mandated program, maximizing compliance opportunities and minimizing risks associated with non-compliance. Tools include on-line Level I and Level II screening, evaluation, and data management informatics, as well as a variety of training and tracking options. DDM Ascend’s WEBSTARS-I (Web-based Secure Technology for Applicant and Resident Screening - Level I) electronically scores provider-entered information using algorithmic decision support to determine when further clinician screening or evaluation is required. WEBSTARS-I incorporates a national psychopharmacologic guideline which recognizes treatments outside of diagnostic formulary ranges to identify triggers that suggest the presence of un-reported serious mental illness. We also incorporate standardized and electronically scored clinical scales to assist in clinical decision-making. Because of its 24/7 real time decision-making capabilities, WEBSTARS-I substantially reduces costs and delays experienced by hospitals, members, and families while maximizing quality and federal compliance.

WEBSTARS-II, our comprehensive Level II PASRR database, incorporates federally compliant web-based processes for managing virtually all Level II requirements. WEBSTARS-II provides functionality which incorporates the spectrum of federal PASRR requirements and includes specialized real time reporting for the analysis of service needs across the state. It permits analysis of, provider compliance trends, state PASRR compliance, and a variety of other compliance, performance and quality indicators. WEBSTARS-II is designed to work in conjunction with our comprehensive PASRR management processes to provide a single source solution for PASRR. Our WEBSTARS I and II systems offer flexible PASRR management informatics to accommodate federally permitted state-to-state individualization.
